Salmon Guru offers a solid yet affordable business lunch in Dubai.
Business Lunch in Dubai can often be an expensive affair so when we heard about the 100 AED offer at Salmon Guru we were quick to book it in. Located at The Opus by Omniyat in Business Bay, this Madrid outpost is a cool new find for us. The quirky decor includes a newly renovated covered terrace that features an array of vibrant Asian parasols hanging from the ceiling, Creating a stunning kaleidoscope of colours and patterns, this enclosed oasis is just what we need to hide from the blistering heat.
The menu has an impressive variety of dishes to pick from-each guest is allowed two starters, one main and finally one dessert each. The dishes are all generous enough to share making it even more fun. In the starters, the raw seasbass sashimi with leche de tiger was the ideal way to start the meal. The prawn gyoza had a nice kick to it because of the chilli crab sauce and the short rib taco bao was a mouthful but delicious. Don’t miss the humble chicken croquettes that were elevated by the chipotle emulsion and Basque ‘piparra pepper’.
In the mains, we adored the fried chiparones with perfectly booked boba rice infused with squid ink fish broth, lightly fried squid and sous-vide leeks that were topped with a tangy citric aioli. The beef kofta might sound simple but was cooked to perfection!
In the dessert the cannolis are for anyone that doesn’t want something too sweet, and then there is the decadent chocolate mousse and ice cream dessert that is ideal for the ‘chocoholics’.
Salmon Guru’s business lunch offers a buzzy atmosphere, great food, generous portions and friendly prices, making it an ideal spot for an afternoon catchup with friends or colleagues.
