YOU MIGHT JUST LOSE ALL TRACK OF TIME AT THIS DREAMY PORTUGUESE RESTAURANT IN DUBAI

Lana Lusa is now open in a new location on the Dubai Canal.

Our favourite Lana Lusa is now open with a brand new location and elevated concept at Four Seasons Private Residences on the Canal. The new venue is meticulously designed to capture the essence of the Mediterranean culinary traditions while offering a touch of modern elegance and Portuguese heritage.

This location boasts a spacious terrace that offers breathtaking views of the Dubai canal. Inspired by the picturesque restaurants along the various European city centre rivers, Lana Lusa’s terrace provides a perfect setting for a romantic evening, a lively gathering, or a memorable celebration.

While browsing through the menu, we noticed that it has been extended and offers dishes that celebrate the diverse and rich flavours of the Mediterranean. From traditional favourites to contemporary creations, we can indulge in a culinary journey that captures the essence of Europe. The menu also offers a ‘Portuguese Heritage’ section, with recipes inspired by Jessica’s (the owner’s wife) grandmother.

Inspired by Portuguese roots, the menu is full of big dishes and real ﬂavors, best shared across the table with cutlery clattering, plates stacking and conversation ﬁlling the air. We started with Sardines Pate-a creamy pate with sun-dried tomatoes, mayonnaise, and lemon juice that we slathered onto buttered toast. The fried salted codfish croquette blended with potatoes is a signature dish that you won’t want to miss. But it was the Mediterranean Garlic Prawns that were the highlight-we finished every last bite on the dish as we kept requesting more bread to scoop up that delicious sauce.

In the mains the Tenderloin grilled with butter, herbs, and peppercorn sauce and served with chimichurri will hit the spot for meat lovers. But if you want something authentically Portuguese then the Seafood Cataplana is the way to go. This medley of sea bass, codfish, squid, shrimps and mussel is served in a tomato sauce together with steamed potatoes and peppers.

Although very happily full, it would be criminal to leave without eating at least one pastel de nata (egg custard tart). Perfectly flakey on the outside and creamy inside, it is the perfect sweet treat we can have any time!
