CASSETTE is our go-to daytime destination where food and creativity come together effortlessly.
The Courtyard in Al Quoz has the kind of quaint charm we always love coming back to. If you are looking for somewhere to settle in for lunch, Cassette is an easy choice-a bright, airy café with plenty of character. Leafy plants, art-covered walls (we would happily take them all home), and the relaxed, creative atmosphere make it one of those places you instantly feel comfortable in.
Inspired by the charm of classic French bistro, the new Business Menu focuses on comfort and balance, with generous yet unfussy dishes that feel satisfying without being heavy-the kind you can enjoy at any time of day. The hardest part is choosing from a menu that all sounds very temping.
We adored the Beetroot Salad, with its earthy roasted beetroot, creamy, slightly tangy feta mousse, crunchy endives and walnuts. It’s balanced and tasty.
For the purists, there’s the equally tempting Caesar Salad, with baby gem lettuce, salty bacon bits and anchovies tossed in a rich, savoury dressing. We added chicken for that extra protein.
If you’re after something light but satisfying, there’s always the Soup of the Day with a side of homemade bread.
For mains, the Truffle Gnocchi is a rich and comforting choice for truffle lovers, with soft potato gnocchi coated in a creamy mix of truffle, Comté and wild mushrooms.
If, like us, you’re (trying) to watch your calories, there’s the Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet, served with a buttery lemon beurre blanc, potatoes and French beans. It’s a lighter option, if you don’t go too heavy on the sauce.
The Dry-Aged Beef Sliders come with melted Comté, caramelised onions and Dijon mayo, all tucked into soft brioche buns with fries on the side. If you’re ravenous, this is the one to order.
Dessert is optional, but don’t skip it. Between the duo of soft, sticky Toffee Pudding and the rich, velvety Chocolate Mousse Cake, we couldn’t pick a favourite.
Business Lunch is available Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 6pm, the Business Lunch offers two courses for AED 105 or three courses for AED 130.
