Ever since we arrived in Dubai, we have been searching for a company to frame our pictures. We wanted a company that offered a professional service, an understanding of the value and sentimentality of the pictures we took in, and a price that didn’t have us running to the Fujairah hills…
Step forward Art House Dubai… We discovered the store on Al Wasl Road (just before Safa Park) – and were greeted by the reassuring sight of an entire wall of different frame widths, colours, and materials. We spent a while trying out frame samples against our pictures (we sent the member of staff back to the wall several times to collect different samples, with absolutely no grumbles) and on choosing, were given a quote – a very reasonable 200 AED per picture. On agreeing, we handed over our prints and left with a receipt to collect a week later.
Not got the artwork to frame? Art House Dubai can solve that dilemma, with a gallery of prints, paintings, etchings, and photographs to pick from. We were tempted by a couple of intricate ink drawings – of Dubai Souk and the Burj Khalifa. There are even sculptures on sale, in bronze, clay, glass, and polished aluminium. For art lovers, this is paradise…
