Not many places have sustained the longevity of being one of the best homegrown restaurants in Dubai since 2016, but 3Fils has that honour.

3Fils is one of Dubai’s first homegrown restaurants that has remained consistently good. They have won both local and international dining awards over the years and the waiting line is testament enough for how much people adore it.  Tucked away in the Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, they serve Asian cuisine with a Japanese twist-at reasonable prices we must add!

The menu is concise and offers seasonal dishes that all sound very tempting-so don’t be surprised if you get carried away with the amount of dishes you end up ordering. We began with the refreshing kamapachi tatami-yellowtail, tamari and yuzu. The seaweed salad with walnuts and apples was light, crunchy and perfectly seasoned.

The dragon roll made with shrimp tempura with a spicy gouchujang sauce and picked onions is a mouthful but crispy and delicious. Meanwhile the plate of spicy tuna rolls delivered their promise of bringing in the heat and we thoroughly enjoyed every last bite.

We took a chance on the asparagus roll topped with a fried egg and sprinkled with truffle.  If we see this dish on the menu again, we will be sure to order it, as it is fantastic and nothing like we have tasted before.

The fremantle octopus caught our attention and it was a good pick-perfectly cooked octopus served on a bed of leek and potato puree and topped with a flavourful gremolata.

We left space for the African Power House dessert and it was totally worth every calorie.  The rich Ghana dark chocolate cake came with a side of Madagascan ice cream.

We are delighted to see 3Fils thriving as always-the service is friendly, the food is top-notch, the prices are excellent value and the ambience is cozy.  What more could we possibly ask for?
