Operated by the iconic private members club, The Sloane Club, these 18 luxurious serviced apartments are housed in a grand Victorian terracotta mansion block. Ranging from studio to two-bedroom, the apartments are ideal for solo travelers to a family or group of friends. Oh, and did we mention they are also pet-friendly, so your dog is also welcome!
Cozy yet opulent, our spacious two-bedroom apartment was luxury at its best. The living room with its high ceilings, elegant chandelier and velvet couches was so inviting and comfortable that it became very difficult for us to want to step outside the home. The large desk on one side of the room is ideal for anyone that needs to get work done. Although we had the intention to set up our workstation, the couches were calling out to us instead. The large dining table had many more seats than we required yet, it filled up very quickly on the night we decided to have friends over for a dinner.
The kitchen is the heart of the home and this one had everything we needed to whip up a quick meal. From the coffee machine to the pots and pans, it really inspired us to host a feast. Since it was so well equipped, we cooked up quite a storm with bits from the stores at Pavilion Road and fresh produce from the iconic and royal warranted grocer, Partridges just down the street.
The added bonus is the large terrace that overlooks the kitchen and living room. It was the perfect retreat for sipping our coffee and enjoying the stillness of the morning during our stay.
The first thing that caught our attention as we stepped into the master bedroom was the giant headboard and the king bed. The second bedroom may have been smaller in size, but the two single beds were also just as comfortable, and you will be able truly relax and unwind once tucked under the sheets. The rooms have a very regal aesthetic but once the curtains are drawn, guaranteed get the best night’s sleep.
The closets are spacious and there is plenty of space to store away all the shopping. The bathrooms have a spa-like feel with their Molten Brown amenities. We quite enjoyed pampering ourselves with the products with a quick shower in the morning to get moving and then a long bubble bath in the evening after a hectic day out.
On one of our days, we fancied treating ourselves to a massage and manicure and the concierge booked us for in-house treatments with Secret Spa, their official partner. The at-home service meant we didn’t have to leave the comfort of the apartment to find a spot and made the trek over.
The Apartments by The Sloane Club include in-room menus created by the chefs and guests can also enjoy the dining venues at its sister property, Sloane Place, that include The Hideaway, a modern speakeasy with live music nights each Wednesday and DJ sets every Friday and Saturday night and an all-day dining restaurant serving up fresh and innovative European-Asian dishes. For sunny days and al fresco meals, the hidden Roof Terrace at The Sloane Club is a must. We adored the lavish breakfast that was brought straight to our doorstep in the am. After much deliberation we picked a hearty spread of eggs, waffles, and fresh fruit, that we quite enjoyed.
Even though this is not a hotel, we still had access to similar (and more superior) services, including daily housekeeping and a 24/7 concierge service ready to answer any questions or requests we had.
The location is fantastic! Quite literally a one-minute walk from Sloane Square tube station and the trendy shopping district of Chelsea, this is the perfect place for anyone from outside of London. If you want a more cultural experience then you can explore the nearby contemporary art gallery, Saatchi Gallery, and Royal Court Theatre, renowned for showcasing the very best of emerging writers.
