Hutong is now hosting an evening brunch.Â
Hutong is a contemporary Northern Chinese restaurant and bar concept from Hong Kong. This award-winning dining destination also has an iconic location at the Shard in London and now its third outpost is at DIFC, Dubai. Known for its fiery Northern Chinese dishes served in an elegant space, with a bespoke interior design inspired by ‘The Four Arts’ of the Qing Dynasty, this restaurant is our latest go-to when it comes to Chinese cuisine.
We were recently invited to enjoy their brand-new Dark Brunch that will take place every Thursday evening that is available to experience from 9pm to 12am. With the perfect mood-lighting, stylish interiors, and suave, Hutong treats diners to a lavish three-course menu with beautifully curated drinks and a quintessential dining experience.
Centrally located in DIFC, the stunning space features an indoor restaurant, a lounge bar, a private terrace and two private dining rooms. The design has been inspired by the border provinces of the Silk Road, as depicted through the intricate details of the hand-crafted sandstone wall, embodying the crossover between the Chinese and Islamic worlds of design. The main feature is the eye-catching traditional Wishing Tree in the center of the restaurant, it is an homage to the famous Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in Hong Kong.
The day of the brunch, we arrived shortly after 9 pm and were surprised to see many tables already occupied. The resident DJ, really added to the atmosphere and create a very lively party ambience.
To begin with, diners can enjoy a range of innovative unlimited starters & delicate dim-sums, followed by a fine selection of specialty dishes such as the Kung Po Chicken and Wok-Tossed Sea Bass with Leek, and for the ultimate sweet indulgence, guests are treated to Hutong’s signature dessert platter.
The Dark Brunch is the perfect place for all you DIFC party lovers with its entertainment offering that includes lots of dancing, firecrackers and great music. DJ Bruno got the party started sharp at 9pm. We also enjoyed the experienced drummer who kept guests entertained and also let us try our hand at drumming!
The food is spectacular and the entertainment is outstanding. The Dark Brunch is the perfect party spot right before the weekend!
