AT THIS CAFE IN DUBAI MINIMALISM MEETS ART

CAFE DORI IS A COOL HANGOUT SPOT IN DUBAI.

We recently discovered Cafe Dori inside the Indian leather goods store, Nappa Dori at Al Serkal Avenue. This blissful space features the most exquisite leather goods that are handcrafted to perfection. Along with the retail that we can spend hours drooling over they also have Cafe Dori tucked inside this brightly lit space. Serving up a range of hot and cold beverages including an extensive list of classic and speciality coffee, and it has recently added fresh sandwiches, salads, croissants, tartines and more to the menu.

The Indian leather goods company which has evolved into a lifestyle brand, the café’s offering is inspired by French, English and East European cuisine. Artisan coffees and tasty dishes are served up amongst cool and cosy interiors. The whole space is set across two floors in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai’s cultural and artistic hub, and is designed to be an amalgamation of a café, an atelier, library/workspace and a multi-brand lifestyle store.

Coffee aficionados can choose from an enticing list of hot and cold classic blends made with 100% arabica coffee beans which are sourced from the best farms across Café Dori’s native India. Tea lovers can indulge in their favourite brew as well as branching out to try a perfectly prepared Masala Chai or the Jodhpur and Aurangeb varieties – assam tea mixed with other warming and interesting flavours.

Fresh juices and smoothies make great accompaniments to fresh salads and sandwiches or for something a little bit different we tried the tartine (a French open sandwich) with flavours such as lemon-infused Straciatella cheese with pesto, cherry tomatoes and microgreens. This was a light and delicious afternoon bite that went well with the strong iced Americano.

Best of all this is also a pet-friendly space!
