When it comes to Italian cuisine there is no shortage in Dubai-the competition is fierce and the standards are high. Bella Restaurant, our latest is a top contender when it comes to the best of Italian food in Dubai.
Perched on the rooftop of Grand Millennium Hotel in Business Bay, the glass windows offer stunning views of the Dubai skyline. Of course, we sat by the window and it truly felt like we were floating in the clouds with the shimmering canal below us.
We went in to try the Business Lunch that begins with a rustic bread and the best Italian olive oil. In the starters we picked the refreshing puntarelle salad that had a surprising element of sharpness from the anchovies and sweetness from raisins and oranges. Because of dietary restrictions we had to skip out on the beef tartare and switched it with the moreish fritto de mare which was crunchy and delightful!
In the mains we were pleased with our choice of the homemade strozzapreti pasta with potatoes and beans in a pesto sauce. A wonderfully filling and wholesome dish! Our other pick was the roasted black cod served with a charred grilled orange, brocollini and beluga lentils. This Italian take of the hugely popular black cod was a refreshing change.
For the dolce the chef sent out a very beautifully presented platter of profiterole topped with pistachio sauce along with roasted pistachios.
