Cave is located at Conrad Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
We never realized that Cave at Conrad Hotel would actually be designed to look like one! A cozy spot tucked on the mezzanine floor, they offer drinks and small bites. Sectioned into different seating areas, we chose to sit on the floor cushions that were truly relaxing!
The menu includes all types of cheese, charcuterie and hot nibbles accompanied by a range of drinks to choose from. We were there for the food and once we had nicely positioned ourselves on the floor, we knew we would be here for a few hours. The evening began with a cheese selection with crackers and plum chutney.
Next we went onto enjoy the sliders and truffle fries. One would think this would be enough but we were so comfortably seated, we decided to order a few more nibbles.
The beef bourguignon arancini filled with comte and gruyè€re fondue and served with fresh black truffle mayo was just pure balls of goodness. The prawn brochette was served with romesco sauce, garlic parsley oil, piquillo pepper puree, garlic chips and was light but still flavorful.
Our most indulgent dish had to be the croque monsieur. The tasted brioche was filled with beef pancetta, truffle paste, and parmesan. Delicious and extremely filling, this is a must-try!
We rounded the evening off with freshly made churros that were sprinkled with sugar and came with a chocolate dip.
The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. This is a great spot to come and unwind with friends or even on your own!
