WHOOP is now available in Arabic for the first time.

From tracking our sleep to keeping an eye on how well we’re recovering after a workout, we’re becoming increasingly interested in what our bodies are telling us. And with fitness and wellness very much part of everyday life in Dubai, it’s no surprise that WHOOP has found a growing following here.

The popular fitness wearable has now introduced a fully redesigned Arabic-language app, allowing Arabic-speaking users across the GCC to access their health data in their own language.

For the uninitiated, WHOOP is a screen-free wearable that goes well beyond counting steps. It monitors sleep, physical activity, stress and recovery, offering personalised insights into how your body responds to everyday life. Whether you’ve had an intense workout or a few nights of poor sleep, it helps you understand when to push yourself and when to take it easy.

The Arabic experience includes access to sleep, recovery, strain and health insights, making it easier for members to understand their data and put it to use.

And it seems the region has taken quite a liking to WHOOP. According to the brand, membership across the GCC has grown by more than 75% year-on-year.

The company has also been expanding its presence locally, with a dedicated UAE office and a growing retail network. Its regional partnerships include UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Al Nassr Football Club, Dubai Fitness Challenge and the Doha Marathon.

There’s more to come, with WHOOP planning to open its first international performance research and development facility outside Boston in Qatar later this year.

For existing members who prefer Arabic, the update makes keeping track of their health that much more accessible.
