Busaba Eathai is a Thai restaurant in Dubai Marina with a relaxed vibe and delicious food.
As loyal customers of the London-based Thai eatery, we were excited to hear that they had recently landed in Dubai. Â Located on The Beach, JBR we immediately felt nostalgic as we recognised the distinct decor of this casual restaurant chain. Â The dark wood floors, low-lighting and communal benches give it a casual yet sophisticated Asian vibe.
We started our meal with the restaurant’s signature dish, Thai calamari (37 AED). Â A must-order, it is lightly battered and exploding with flavour. Â The recipe is one that is kept under wraps, so you definitely won’t find this dish at any other restaurant in the world.
The order of the chilli prawn stir-fry (51 AED) had a nice spicy kick to it. Â Our personal favourite was the mussaman duck curry (60 AED)-a beautifully cooked duck in a rich and tasty sauce. Â We were quick to scoop it all up with a crispy thai roti (18 AED).
The service was friendly and attentive and the waitress knew a lot about all the dishes on the menu. Â Overall, the experience was good. Â Busaba Eathai offers fresh and flavoursome Asian fare and the added bonus is the generous portions. Â Oh, and its all-day dining.
