This is not just your run-of-the-mill rotisserie chicken.
The Roost Rotisserie is tucked away in Jumeirah. There is an outdoor patio ideal for the cooler months and the cute detail of the ceramic roosters decorated around the tables adds a quirky detail. Inside the decor is also very cozy and immediately makes you comfortable.
The star of the restaurant is of course, the rotisserie which is on display for everyone to see. This homegrown concept offers fresh, free range, hormone-free chicken, made with love.
We began our meal with a taste of all three of their homemade broths-chicken, beef and vegetable. Packed with goodness, the earthy herbs and spices really enhanced the flavors. Even if we don’t have time for a full meal, we could always stop here for a piping hot mug of broth!
The rotisserie chicken is the highlight of the menu-it is first covered in their homemade marinade for 40 hours before it is slow cooked for 3 hours. The result is a succulent, juicy and well-seasoned meat that literally falls off the bone. You can accompany your order with a choice of different sauces. Again made with the best of ingredients and no refined sugar, each sauce has its own taste. We personally loved the chimichurri and the garlic sauce. If you are in the mood to experiment then the banana ketchup is one to try!
Although the truffle fries and side of wood-fired corn on the cobb are the best options their salads are also just as good. The Waldorf has been given their own twist with an orange and passion fruit dressing that we really adored.
There also serve wraps and burgers and amongst them the wood-fired chicken breast burger is finger licking good. It is packed with flavor and includes avocado, relish, coriander and sriracha mayo.
After such a hearty meal one would not really have the space for dessert, but the Hungarian kurtos is worth ordering. Freshly baked, this chimney cake is offered here with different fillings and you can’t really go wrong with any of them!
