Tucked away at Jumeirah Islands Pavilion, Sal’s Bistro opens bright and early for breakfast and closes late into the night after dinner. Designed to look like a greenhouse, the terrace by the lake is ideal for these cooler winter months and in the indoors is cozy and inviting when the weather starts to warm up.
This is a quintessential French Bistro concept created by the famous Father and Son, Joe & Jason Bassili known across Dubai for their award-winning “Le Fumoir by Joe Bassili” smoked salmon. This warm and welcoming concept reflects the family’s passion for excellent food and people, creating a unique and exciting dining experience. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it is the perfect destination to wrap up your workweek or kick off your weekend.
The eclectic menu boasts a diverse and wide range of dishes, featuring their Award-Winning “Le Fumoir by Joe Bassili” smoked salmon. We recently headed there for an early lunch that was an absolutely delightful experience.
We started with the signature Salmon Rillettes-the creamy French-style dish was light, flavorful without being overpowering. It’s a spread that’s sure to impress. Next was he homemade Crab Cakes were served with a Charred Lemon, Watercress and a Lemon Mayonnaise dip. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to love the Olive Oil, Parsley and Chives Marinated Artichokes.
In the mains the Tenderloin Steak Frites is a must-have. The grilled Angus Beef tenderloin is served with French Fries, St. Germain des Prés Sauce, and a light Watercress Salad. The Honey Roasted Duck Breast served with Mashed Potato, tender Stem Broccoli and Sauce à l’Orange is an absolute treat.
You can’t come to Sal’s and not try some of their Sushi offerings. Serving the freshest fish, we adored the mix of Sashimi and Nigiri we ordered.
We ended our meal with the most indulgent dessert of a warm Soft Cookie Dough topped with Chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream.
