Club Vista Mare on Palm Jumeirah has a brand new dining homegrown restaurant called Ria. This elegant beachfront restaurant and bar brings a sense of freshness and offers a relaxed upscale dining experience as well as a stunning beach side escape.
A family-friendly spot you can essentially spend the entire day there by hanging out on their beach beds while indulging on their delicious food and swimming in the ocean. Oh, and in case we forgot to mention-pets are also welcome!
We went to Ria during its opening week and it was refreshing to see that the place was already buzzing. The outdoor terrace offers a lovely view of the Palm and beyond and there is even a seating area on the sand if that’s what you prefer. For a more formal experience the indoor space is cozy and elegant.
The menu is filled with Mediterranean bites featuring freshly caught seafood. While we waited for our food the delightful bread basket, Greek olive oil and balsamic along with a homemade tapenade of capsicum kept us busy. The prawns in garlic sauce were a great choice and we paired them with the side of patata bravas. We loved that their version of these Spanish potatoes was not doused in a heavy sauce-instead they were lightly sprinkled with paprika for that lovely smokey taste. The prawns were extremely tasty.
For our main we picked out our own seabass from the display and chose to have it grilled. The fish was truly exquisite and we loved it with the tahini sauce and side of steamed spinach.
For dessert we tried the Greek yogurt that was topped with fresh nuts and sheets of phyllo. A healthy yet very satisfying way to end the meal.
Offering views of the crystal blue waters of the Palm Jumeirah, Ría is an ideal beachside escape.
