Nightjar City Walk Has Opened Its Doors!

Nightjar at Al Serkal has a solid reputation. A buzzing cafe and roastery, the food is fantastic and the coffee is unbeatable. We recently received news of their latest outpost in City Walk and were quick to confirm a date to visit. The space has that same edgy cool vibe with a diner-style decor, open kitchen and even a dj station. In other words, Nightjar City Walk is basically re-defining the meaning of a mall café! Open from 10am until late, it’s a coffee joint inspired by many of the crew’s late nights out, festive garden bars and cocktail-led speakeasy bars.

You will find all the Nightjar menu classics (and some new hits!) at City Walk, ranging from their notoriously decadent, butter-rich, guilty breakfasts, dirty sandos and delicious creative plates. Breakfast for the win; ricotta pancake stack, options of veggieor double patty breakfast muffins, and even blue swimmer crab omelette.

Nightjar is known for their iconic sandwiches and we were pleased to see they are all included on the menu here; American grilled cheese with pickled onions, the classic egg & bacon roll,and even the infamous K-pop po’boy with Dibba Bay oysters.

We started with their world-famous house cured salt beef sandwich with cheddar and red cabbage-this hearty sandwich is why we keep returning to Nightjar and once again it satisfied all our cravings. The charcoal chicken served with creamed corn & pickled shallots was tender and delightful. A generous serving for sharing, we took half of it home and enjoyed it later that evening.

To satisfy our sweet tooth we shared the creme brûlée pancake that was topped with raspberries. Not overly sweet we adored this stack of pancakes and will be back for these as an early morning breakfast treat again!

Nightjar’s craft beverages include on tap cold brew coffee and iced tea variations, along with hot and cold classic coffee and tea options. We finished our meal with a solid cup of flat white.

Nightjar is once again setting the coffee scene standard at City Walk, with the finest DJ selectors on rotation every Friday-Sunday. Get ready city people, this will be your go-to for a cool eatery-you may come for the coffee, but you will want to stay for the super vibes, off the wall eats and dope music.
