Isola transports guests to the coastal parts of Italy, with its enchanting blend of fresh and bright flavors.
Isola is tucked away in the heart of the Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse. An authentic Italian eatery, the decor has that classic old world charm-high ceilings, rattan furniture and a patterned floor. There is also a terrace for cooler days that overlooks the pool and really gives you holiday vibes.
The evening we were there, it coincided with their Ladies’ Night and we browsed that special menu as well. Well priced and with a set menu, they also exclusively offer the Cacio e Pepe for those who can’t resist the dish.
We decided to pick a few classics from the regular a la carte menu. We began with the blue fin tuna tartare that was topped with avocado. Refreshing flavors, it really went well with the freshly baked bread that arrived at the table shortly after we were seated.
We resisted trying the calamari and eggplant parmigiana and instead went for the simple sicilian tomatoes and roasted capsicums salad. Topped with red onions, it really represented summer on a plate.
In the mains the spaghetti and clams was a great choice. It came with the surprising element-Sardinian bottarga that a bit more intensity to the dish.
The grilled sea bream with a side of roast potatoes was just pure goodness. The lightly charred skin added texture while the  Sicilian dressing made it far from boring.
Although we had arrived sharp at 6 pm, we took our time to enjoy each course. An hour and a half later the place was absolutely buzzing and we were happy to stay on for dessert. Upon recommendation from our server, we picked the burrata cheesecake. Ultra creamy it also had a hint of savory flavor to it as well. Overall, we quite enjoyed this new take on a traditional dessert.
Isola is a decidedly refreshing and definitely a place we will be returning to very soon.
L’Aperitivo at Isola
L’Aperitivo is the Italian happy hour celebrated at Isola from Monday to Friday and will be extended this Eid. Available from May 2 – 4, guests can relax and unwind in the Mediterranean-inspired indoors and expansive terrace of Isola with a special L’Aperitivo and Cicchetti menu that features Isola’s signature savoury bites.

Saturday Brunch at Isola
Isola is setting the stage to serve a delectable Italian brunch affair every Saturday. The three-course sharing menu, highlighting Isola’s signature dishes, is paired with unlimited house beverages and live Italian music and Jazz entertainment by Mark Zitti and his band.
