Celebrating UAE’s local agriculture, Eugène Eugène has just launched a farm-to-table menu.
We adore the modern brasserie Eugène Eugène, drawing inspiration from greenhouses and market halls, and it is an unexpected sanctuary in the heart of the city. Tucked away amidst the tranquillity of palm and olive trees, laurel, sage, and rosemary, and adorned with woven cushions and sumptuous armchairs, it offers a peaceful retreat from the hectic pace of city life.
We can’t get enough of their newest initiative that celebrates the richness of the UAE’s agriculture with six new dishes added to the à la carte menu. Each dish is prepared using only locally-sourced ingredients, including fresh produce, meats, fish, and dairy – showcasing the exceptional quality and flavours cultivated by the country’s dedicated farmers.
At the heart of this project is a deep appreciation for the passionate individuals who dedicate their lives to producing fresh, high-quality ingredients. The farm-to-table menu honours their work while highlighting the abundance and diversity of the UAE’s agricultural landscape.
This initiative stays true to Eugène Eugène’s philosophy of offering simple yet refined cuisine, where the finest ingredients are elevated with creativity and culinary expertise.
In the starters the tomato gazpacho with brioche toast is a fresh and light way to start the meal. The star dishes include grilled eggplant with burrata, topped with tomato tartare and crispy onion, and cured fish tartare, topped with organic cucumber and yellow zucchini.
In the mains, the barbecue chicken leg is exceptionally tender and flavourful. For the pescatarians, the Josper grilled king fish is served on a bed of spinach, drizzled with a zesty lemon dressing, making for a light yet satisfying dish.
The innovative dessert of chocolate eggplant parfait, topped with camel milk ice cream, is not overly sweet and offers a great way to finally try camel milk.
This farm-to-table menu takes local produce and cooks it in a simple manner to maximise flavour. Honouring local produce and heritage, this menu is centred around sustainability and simplicity.
