Elaia is a Greek and Italian bistro located in the buzzy hotspot, Pier 7. The first thing that caught our attention was the fabulous hand-painted mural of Greek mythology. The decor is elegant and the marina views are unmatched-it is the type of place you want to sit back and relax in.
Offering a fusion of Greek and Italian dishes, the menu boasts the freshest seafood, handpicked ingredients, and a range of delightful dishes, all designed to be shared.
The freshly baked breads accompanied with the smoked eggplant melitzanosalata and roasted red pepper tirokafteri dips are a great way to start the meal.
From the salads, the simple but fresh Horiatiki is a classic Greek speciality, constructed with juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, briny olives, and finished with oregano gremolate.
In the hot plates the crispy fried sardines arrives golden and perfectly crunchy-simple and hard to resist. The prawn saganaki is a quintessential Mediterranean classic tossed in a rich tomato sauce and topped with salty feta, it is an easy crowd-pleaser.
The juicy, tender lamb souvlaki sits on a bed of warm pita, with toppings of onion, tomatoes, parsley and feta adding an extra punch of flavour to this humble dish.

The wood-fired pizzas are an absolute must-try, and our truffle order was rich and creamy, without ever feeling over the top.
We saved space for dessert, ending the meal with a Basque cheesecake that was lusciously light and creamy-a memorable finish.
