Â We discovered BOCA, a brand new eatery that unlike its neighbors is understated yet elegant. Â Located in DIFC, BOCA offers a unique sharing food menu that boasts dishes from France, Spain and Italy. Â The simple menu is cleverly divided into deli, original and market-making it easier to decipher and pick a few things from each of the sections.
We started our meal with a lentil soup that came with clams, mussels, salted cod and saffron bisque-hearty and filling it had a unique flavor and texture. Â The grilled octopus with air dried beef came with a delicious dressing and we thoroughly enjoyed the dish. Â The star dish has to be the 12 hours braised lamb that is served with toscanelli beans, sage and anchovy fritters. Â For dessert the ashanti chocolate was decadent and rich while the pistachio and olive oil torta was light and refreshing.
Overall, we adored the distinct Mediterranean vibe and decor.  Although the indoor seating is just as appealing, the outdoor patio is ideal for the cooler months.  BOCA offers great prices for its location and that along with the delicious food makes it a top contender when it comes to picking a restaurant in DIFC.
