Breakfast has become a fancy affair, with eggs cooked in so many different manners (most of which we can barely pronounce) and pancakes have been left behind.
Although big pancake fans, our attempts at home are pretty miserable, so when we heard about Pancake Month at Clinton Street we were excited to accept the invitation.
Clinton Street Baking Co is a New York transplant tucked away in Dubai Mall and Citywalk. Â The all-day diner offers American style food including Maryland Crab Cakes and Fried Chicken & Waffle in American style portions.
In celebration of their self-declared Pancake Month, there will be a multitude of pancake flavours, served through the entire month of February.
From Banana Coconut to Japanese Pumpkin, Blueberry Strudel to German Chocolate & Pecans, these flavour combinations have been thoughtfully constructed.
Made using founder Chef Neil Kleinberg’s famous pancake batter recipe, we were served Bavarian Apple Pancakes with Cinnamon Cider Glaze and Bavarian Cream (68 AED). The stack of three arrived fluffy, moist and warm on our table-basically everything you want in a pancake! There was also no skimping on the delicious Cinnamon Cider Glaze and the indulgent Bavarian Cream. Everything about the dish was divine!
So, if you are looking for the ultimate comfort food for this month, then we recommend pancakes!
