You don’t need to head to the South of France to enjoy the quintessential French spirit because we now have Twiggy by La Cantine right here in Dubai. Tucked away at the charming Park Hyatt hotel, this oasis offers guests access to a stylish beach club and restaurant.
The 100-metre infinity pool overlooks the Creek and Dubai skyline. The white sand is buttery soft with daybeds and private cabanas spread across the stretch for guests to pick from. We placed ourselves bright and early on the daybeds and enjoyed the relaxed and serene setting.
The beach menu includes fabulous drinks made to order and small bites include fresh sushi. If you are a bigger party then the cabanas are worth booking for a more private experience. We recommend staying here till sunset to enjoy the fabulous view, efficient service and captivating ambiance.
During the afternoon we finally managed to drag ourselves away from the pool and head upstairs to the restaurant for lunch. The terrace is perched on top of the beach club and decked out in that signature chic island style. The Mediterranean-inspired menu includes salads, seafood and grilled meats. We began with a refreshing crab and avo starter followed by a light but flavorful kale and quinoa salad that included goji berries, figs and aged parmesan for some extra kick.
The honey glazed wagyu short ribs were served with pomelo-a flawless combination. The beautifully presented lobster cannelloni is an absolute crowd pleaser. Be sure to try the hearty veal Milanese-that is the best version of the popular dish we have had in the city.
