This homegrown DIFC gem has a 10-course menu to celebrate its decade anniversary.
If you have been in Dubai for a decade or more than there is one Italian restaurant that you will be familiar with, yes we mean Roberto’s. This DIFC restaurant is one of the most popular since the day it opened a decade ago. Our go-to for whenever we crave pasta, Roberto’s is celebrating its decade anniversary with a specially curated menu that you don’t want to miss!
The ideal place for a romantic date, catchup with friends or then even a work meeting the venue is contemporary and elegant featuring a lounge, open kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, with two separate terraces that offer magnificent Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai skyline views.
We were invited to try the fabulous menu to celebrate the ten years of success. Split into the Italian style of different courses, we began with a decadent mix of caviar, foie gras and puffed curry rice with yuzu. These eclectic dishes were not only a visual treat but also very sophisticated in their flavor combinations.
The starters included yellow fin tuna and octopus. Both dishes were unique and while the tuna was delicate and light with salsa fume and kaffir lime, the slowcooked octopus was more robust with artichoke and a drizzle of cacao e pepe sauce.
Our pasta course was one we were really excited for as we are always huge fans of their offerings at Roberto’s. The ravioli pasta was pillowy soft and filled with burrata and topped with a tomato sauce and very thinly chopped olives. The second dish was a beetroot risotto that truly surprised us with its rich texture and delicious addition of the gorgonzola fondue and walnut. The grilled seabass served with kale, verjus sauce and eggplant puree was the grand main dish and we absolutely adored it!
It is hard to believe that we still had place for dessert, but trust us, even if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth you will want to give their desserts a try. The warm dark chocolate foam with hazelnut ice cream was indulgent and comforting and it was followed with a simple yet delightful pistachio ice cream served with extra virgin olive oil.
Roberto’s has been around for a decade and it is their great service, amazing food and overall hospitality that keeps them right at the top. This truly is a Dubai gem that we are so proud of and wish them all the luck for the next decade ahead!
