Massimo’s Restaurant is definitely one to try if you are looking for authentic Italian food in Dubai.
When it comes to Italian food in Dubai, although there are plenty of restaurants serving pasta and pizza they aren’t all necessarily representative of those authentic flavors from Italy.
We heard about Massimo’s, a family-run business by two Italian brothers from one of their fellow countrymen living in Dubai and so were keen to try it out. Tucked away in a discreet location on the expansive Marina Walk, we were surprised to find almost all the tables full when we arrived there for an early dinner.
The outdoor seating provides a lovely view of the waterfront but the inside the décor is a bit more stark and almost too dull.
The Spaghetti Frutti di Mari
The menu boasts a variety of different pizzas, pastas and mains. We began with a starter of Burrata (65 AED)-rich and creamy, it was indulgent and delicious. The Spaghetti Frutti di Mari (70 AED) was a medley of fresh seafood and beautifully balanced flavors. The Ravioli Tartufo (70 AED) also came highly recommended and lived up to its reputation-homemade ravioli served with a rich sauce it was filling and very tasty.
Massimo’s is a low-key restaurant that ticks all the boxes when it comes to serving a menu of authentic Italian dishes that encompass all of Italy.
