Abshar is an Irani restaurant located in the heart of Jumeirah Beach Road serving authentic and flavorful cuisine with dine-in and take-away facilities.
When we think of Iranian cuisine we can’t help but drool over the delicate kebabs and hearty stews, fortunately that is exactly what we found at Abshar. Â A family-run business with several branches around Dubai, they use traditional recipes and serve wholesome and tasty food. Â The menu has a wide selection of salads, grills and other specialities like dizi.
Our meal began with the Special Salad, that had a mix of tabbolah, moutabal and other salads that we happily enjoyed with the piping hot bread and side of feta cheese. Â A must-try is the Khask-o-Bademjan, a dip made with garlic and eggplant.
From the grill we picked the Chelo Kebab-e-Sultani, a duo of flat steak and minced meat skewers accompanied with rice and fries-ideal for sharing and getting a taste of the different manners the kebab are served. Â Irani stews are also popular and our Gormeh Sabzi made with spinach and meat was delicious.
The added bonus of our first visit was the quaint sweet shop we found in their grounds, filled with delightful sweets and dried food from Iran.
