AN IMAGINATIVE DESSERT TASTING JOURNEY IN DUBAI

A gastronomic story told through desserts at Brix Journey.

Dedicated exclusively to desserts, Brix Journey is located by the scenic Jumeirah Harbour. An intimate 12‑seat chef’s table, pastry artists craft stories in multi‑course menus Offering set course menus of fine dining desserts-where creations balance sweet and savoury ingredients, it is one of only 10 restaurants worldwide dedicated exclusively to desserts.

This summer, Brix has a Scicream pop-up, a playful escape from these soaring temperatures. On the menu are 20 handcrafted ice cream flavours, made in small batches, alongside a handful of signature creations. The space has been transformed to capture the charm of a retro ice cream parlour, with colourful details, vintage inspired posters and beach essentials completing the nostalgic setting.

Ice cream purists can keep it classic with scoops of Chocolate and Vanilla, while more adventurous palates will adore Matcha and Melon.

For something a little more creative, the Signature Bowls are well worth ordering. One of the most memorable is the Brown Butter Ice Cream with fresh truffle, Kaluga caviar and yuzu pearls. A rich, savoury and slightly sweet, the brown butter ice cream is lifted by earthy truffle, delicate bursts of caviar and fresh yuzu pearls that add a welcome citrus finish.

The Tiramisu Ice Cream was one of our favourites. Espresso soaked ladyfinger biscuits, milk ice cream and mascarpone cream came together for a delicious, indulgent take on the classic dessert.

Of course, we had to try Brix’s take on Dubai chocolate. The Dubai Chocolate Treasure combines milk chocolate and pistachio ice cream with a crisp milk chocolate disc, golden kunafa and a dusting of pistachio powder. An elevated take on one of the city’s favourite flavour combinations, it has the perfect amount of crunch!

Served in a fresh pineapple, the Pineapple Sorbet is one of the most summery desserts on the menu. The pineapple soft serve is topped with fresh pineapple chunks, making it a refreshing way to end the experience.
