TRADITIONAL LEBANESE FOOD IN DUBAI WITH A CHIC SETTING

Next time you are organising a lunch out with your girlfriends, we recommend heading to Mirdif City Centre and grabbing a table at Leila. A well-established name in Beirut, the restaurant is known for its décor, service, and tasty food.

Decorated in vibrant berry shades of purple of red, the décor is girly, yet sophisticated. With rich velvet upholstery and beautiful wallpaper, the style is both chic and homely. The attention to detail is noticeable, with napkins, cutlery, and chairs all stamped with Leila’s signature red rose.

For our starter, we ordered the Fattoush Salad (23 AED) and were very impressed by the flavour of the fresh greens and slightly tart dressing.  We also ordered the eggplant salad; Al Raheb (21 AED), featuring thick chunks of eggplant dressed in lemon and other spices. Both were delicious.

Chicken Brochett (45 AED) was our choice for main – juicy pieces of chicken lightly brushed in olive oil and a simple combination of spices. Grilled vegetables accompanied the dish on the side and it was more than satisfying.

Leila maintains a fun, quaint vibe, while serving traditional Lebanese food in Dubai from the rural areas of the country.  And with a new branch set to open in Downtown soon, we’re already counting down the days until our next visit.
