A STYLISH LUNCH AT LE PETIT BEEFBAR IN DIFC

Le Petit Beefbar is located in the heart of DIFC.

Tucked away in an elegant Art Deco-inspired corner of DIFC, Le Petit Beefbar is cosy and intimate, with a vintage brasserie feel created by mirrored ceilings, pendant lighting and wood-panelled walls.

At lunchtime, the space buzzes with a mix of office crowd and leisurely diners, with different menus depending on your timeframe and budget. From a concise business lunch to the Ă  la carte menu, there is something for every taste-in fact, contrary to popular belief, there are also plenty of options for pescatarians and vegetarians.

Starting with the KFC-their version of Kobe beef tallow fried chicken served with ginger marinade and Sichuan pepper sauce-which remains a firm favourite on the menu.

The Super Kale, made with avocado, parmesan, cherry tomatoes and lemon zest, is crunchy and refreshing, and almost made us feel less guilty about what is to come.

Then there’s the Insane Rock Corn, a playful tempura-inspired dish reminiscent of popcorn. Dangerously moreish, this is one bowl we struggled to resist. So order wisely-you will want to leave room for the mains.

We were here for the infamous steak frites: a good medium-rare steak that is soft, succulent and perfectly tender, served with their signature herby butter sauce and a side of thin, crispy fries.

You’ll also want to make it to dessert. We tried the Marbled Chocolate Bar-a decadent combination of chocolate, crispy biscuit and melting caramel that delivers everything you could want from a chocolate bar, yet somehow still feels surprisingly light.
