A POP-UP FOOD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH WITH A HOLIDAY VIBE

Located on Kite Beach the Beach Canteen is one of the main highlights of the Dubai Food Festival 2015.

The Dubai Food Festival 2015 makes February a very fun, food-filled month. The 23-day long event is spread across the entire city and is a celebration of all types of different food related events, including chef appearances, food tastings and activities. There is so much to pick and choose from but we have a firm favorite-the Beach Canteen.

Located on Kite Beach, the Beach Canteen is the place for foodies. Hosted inside a set of recycled shipping containers, you will find 11 different home-grown restaurants and cafes from across Dubai, serving their specialities.

A playful and practical idea, we can’t help but love the design and concept. The brightly colored containers are stacked up onto a makeshift stage directly overlooking the ocean ahead.

The cafes have their own containers and once you pick up your food you can head on over to the beanbags, benches or stools to enjoy the meal.

A foodie haven there is something for every palette-Pakistani wraps by Moti Roti, seafood medley by Claw BBQ, rich coffee by Spill the Bean, burgers by Moylo, and wholesome kale salads by Kriss Kross.

Besides the food there is also entertainment for everyone. A trampoline has been setup (that unfortunately is only for children), the table-tennis however, is for all age groups to enjoy. But the main highlights are the nightly activities including films, open mic, djs and even a yoga session! So check the schedule before you head on over.

The Beach Canteen pays homage to the growing food scene in the city and is definitely worth checking out.
