There is something very exciting and therapeutic about being allowed to break, throw and smash items around a room. But where and why would we even think of doing such a thing? Welcome to The Smash Room’s latest and largest location, The Smash Room City, located in Sports Society Mirdif. Â
We visited The Smash Room City last week and were greeted by friendly faces and slick interiors with bright, bold colors. The new location stands out from the rest as it offers a variety of themed rooms that transport guests to different real-life settings, i.e., a Supermarket, Office, Laundry Room and Restaurant scenarios. Just choose which immersive and interactive scenario you want to enter and then smash to your hearts content! All of the rooms had plenty to bash and throw – imagine chairs and desks, glassware, microwaves, computers and even supermarket produce.Â
But, safety first! The Smash Room City staff armored us with full protective gear, including a full-length jumpsuit, a chest plate, gloves, and helmet. Then we chose our preferred weapons of destruction from an array of items and tools, such as hockey sticks, axes, and baseball bats.   Â
After much deliberation, we picked the Restaurant Room smashing experience and did not regret it. Initially, we timidly touched and knocked at the objects in the room, laughing and commenting on just how wrong it felt to purposely try and break things. But after a few minutes, we got into the smash room spirit and were slamming and bashing away! The rush of endorphins and sense of exhilaration we had with this activity were unparalleled!Â
The Smash Room City boasts a spacious karaoke and a party room – perfect for large parties and corporate team building events – and an on-site Bodega that offers drinks and snacks for guests to enjoy in between sessions. Â
