The property originally opened in 1927 at the height of the Roaring Twenties, and has since then undergone a transformation of its guest rooms and public spaces. The renovation combines the modern touches of a five-star hotel with careful restoration to retain the original elegance and Art Deco glamour of this historic property.

The stately hotel has played host to socialites, celebrities and the aristocracy since its opening back in 1927. On a recent trip to London, we were invited to stay at this gorgeous property where everything about our stay was comfortable, relaxing and luxurious.

One can’t help but admire the stately art décor interior and exterior. The hotel’s ideal location near Buckingham Palace and its regal position directly in front of Green Park made staying here very convenient.

Downstairs in the lobby lounge you can enjoy one of the best traditional afternoon teas in London and listen to the relaxing sounds of the harp. The breakfast buffet spread will keep you filled for most of the afternoon and then it is best to head back to the hotel for dinner at the Italian Restaurant Mercante. You can pick from a range of authentic Italian dishes that are fresh and delicious.
