Cutfish is located directly on the yacht marina at Marsa al Arab.
We can’t get enough of the new-ish waterfront promenade in the heart of Jumeirah. From coffee to burgers, they have a line of impressive dining options overlooking the picturesque marina. Our first stop was dinner at Cutfish, a Japanese Izakaya.
With rich dark wood and an open kitchen at its heart, the contemporary space feels warm and refined. Intimate in scale, it also boasts some of the most striking views over the marina.
Designed as Japanese-style tapas, the menu features an array of flavourful sharing plates including sushi, sashimi and hearty mains mains.
We started with the battera sushi salmon-pressed sushi with buttery salmon and topped with earthy truffle slices. The shredded cauliflower salad that followed had a nice kick to it, thanks to the sharp ponzu dressing.Â
In the mains the fried rice wagyu, served in a traditional clay pot and rich in flavour and incredibly moreish. We took our time savouring the dish.
The dessert was a chocolate box square that we cracked open to reveal delicious homemade vanilla ice cream packed inside. The perfect end to a memorable meal.
Cutfish is a cozy and intimate space where the food is elegantly simple but packed with vibrant flavours.
Cutfish is located in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab – Al Darmeet St, Umm Suqeim Jumeirah.
