Boasting that chic countryside decor, this charming new space evokes a sense of nostalgia. The rich wood furnishings, supple leather seating, and classic mosaic patterns crate a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Ready to really indulge, we started with a rich, smooth Chicken Liver & Foie Gras Parfait served with a tangy Cumberland Sauce Jelly that we generously on a perfectly toasted warm slice of Brioche.
The vibrant Crab On Toast with Lemon Mayo, Granny Smith Apple, and Radish was a simple but flavourful dish that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Quite honestly, we came for the Fish & Chips served with a side of Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce, and it exceeded all expectations. The perfectly battered fish was crispy on the outside and flaky and tender inside, the side of chips, peas and sauce were the perfect accompaniment and we were very quick to finish every last bite.
Our second main, the Beef Wellington for two, served with Mashed Potatoes, Horseradish Sauce, and Dripping Sauce, took its time to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. This show-stopping dish was both wholesome and satisfying—the crispy, golden pastry enveloping the tender, juicy beef truly won us over!
The Spaniel serves classic British favourites with their own unique twist-and quite frankly, it works!
