Odeon offers a tasteful French culinary journey.
Odeon Gourmet started as a catering service and has now officially launched their market and restaurant in Jumeirah. We were invited to experience this chic brasserie centrally located in the heart of the city. We were surprised to find the most delightful delicatessen that we’ve always longed once we opened the door. Packed to the brim with food options that will make your mouth water in anticipation, we quickly filled up a basket of goodies. There are various counters showcasing fish, cheese and freshly made bakery products along with shelves holding all types of sauces, oils and other delicious food items.
We finally made our way upstairs where Chef Thomas and his team were waiting to greet us. We spoke to them briefly about the place and its ethos. They are a passionate team that works hard to bring good quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant’s vibrant ambiance has that quintessential Parisian brasserie touches. We were told there is also rooftop seating that is ideal for the cooler months.
The menu offers a unique selection of contemporary French cuisine using only the finest seasonal ingredients. Â We tried a whole host of items that were sent across from the kitchen and it really became hard to pick one firm favorite. Each dish was made with so much love and precision. From the langoustine that came with a refreshing sauce to the onion tart and nicoise salad, everything was exploding with flavor. The menu has so many dishes we can’t wait to try-from the mussels to the foie gras there is something for every palette.
In the desserts we adored the tarte tatin that was light yet indulgent.
Odeon is an exceptionally good French restaurant that we are so delighted to discover! From their market to their casual dining downstairs and more formal setup upstairs, we know we will be coming back here on a regular bases.
