Khadak offers a spicy take on a traditional Indian Breakfast in Dubai.
One of our favourite dining destinations, Khadak, is an ode to the iconic food shops of India and a celebration of the country’s rich culinary heritage. Offering the most wholesome regional dishes, they have just launched a weekend breakfast menu, which we were delighted to hear about
One of their signature dishes is the humble Roast Potato Paratha, a comforting North Indian staple with a crisp exterior and soft, perfectly spiced potato filling, served with kaymak and homemade carrot pickle. An old-time classic we can never get enough of.
Another house favourite is the Railway Omelette, a nod to India’s colonial railways-this masala packed omelette has a surprising element of shiitake mushrooms and mature cheddar.
We adore the Chilia Baida Kheema, inspired by Bombay’s Kokani Chilia community. This delectable meat dish is topped with an organic fried egg and served with a side of homemade curry leaf focaccia.
The showstopper is a hearty bowl of Paya, a rich and wholesome broth topped with fennel and onion seeds. This sticky, spicy dish is pure collagen, and we quite literally wiped the bowl clean with the freshly baked slightly sweet, taftan bread.
From the quintessential North Indian classic like Chole-Halwa Puri and reimagined South Indian staples like Uttapam , there is something for every palette.
For simple but truly nostalgic food, the Bun Maska, a Bombay Irani café classic of soft buttery buns, or the Khadak Honey Butter Toast, a delightful pairing of Japanese Shokupan bread with clotted cream and Kumquat drizzle,  with a cup of piping hot Irani chai, are the perfect way to end this absolutely indulgent and satisfying breakfast.
