Located in the vibrant heart of City Walk’s new licensed district, Rare is a modern brasserie offering a delightful dining experience that beautifully blends contemporary design with a vibrant atmosphere. The interior features a stylish mix of rustic and modern elements, creating a welcoming space for an intimate dinner or gathering with friends.
The menu showcases a range of classic dishes made with seasonal ingredients. We started with nibbles-fried olives topped with crumbled feta and a platter of crudités accompanied with an eggplant dip.
In the appetisers the chicken thigh skewers marinated with smoked salsa roja and lemon is a crowd-pleaser. For something more fancy, the wagyu tartare with wasabi, egg yolk and potato hash will impress the tastebuds. The delicately seared tuna crudo comes with a flavourful anchovy soy and brown butter béarnaise sauce is gloriously refreshing.
In the mains the wagyu striploin is cooked to order and sits on a bed of wasabi cream and batter crispies giving it an edge of sharpness and an element of crunch. The sides of crispy sprouts and mashed potatoes makes this a hearty and satisfying main course.
