EVER TRIED AFRICAN FOOD IN DUBAI?

Tribes at Mall of the Emirates serves a diverse range of African food in Dubai that is ideal for large groups of all ages.

African cuisine is extremely diverse and influenced by so many different regions and countries.  We discovered African food in Dubai at Tribes Restaurant.  Although located inside the mall, once you enter, the earthy design and accessories are warm and inviting and will transport you to a land far away.

We began our meal with the recommended Hakuna Matata Platter-an impressive mix of grilled calalmari, battered fishcakes, an exotic bitter gourd salad, spicy prawns, chicken lollipops and even a hearty beef pie, it was full of robust flavors and definitely a great way to get a taste of the different spices and sauces.

For the mains we tried the Lamb Rump Steak-perfectly cooked and well seasoned it was accompanied with a baked sweet potato.  The Wagyu Steak was tender and moist and went perfectly with the mushroom sauce and side of homemade french fries.  Although very full, the signature dessert, Chocolate Malva Pudding was a warm cake with ice cream and a sweet apricot compote, was hard to resist.

The meal was filling and entertaining-the waiters all break out into occasional song and dance accompanied by drum,s that definitely lift up the spirit and mood.   Albeit not cheap for a mall location, Tribes at is the quintessential African restaurant that reflects the rich culture and heritage of the continent in its menu and decor.
