Local skateboarders can now practise their skills year-round at the  Zoo Skatepark, a state-of-the-art indoor facility located in Al Quoz.
Dubai skateboarders should check out the air-conditioned skatepark opened in Al Quoz. Â Previously, skateboarders in Dubai have had limited options during the hotter months and, as a result, the sport usually dwindles over the summer. Now, they can practice their jumps, grinds and slides at the new AED500,000 Zoo Skatepark facility, which is equipped with beginner slopes and steps, quarter pipes, half pipes, a grinding box and a challenging vert bowl slope.
The Zoo Skatepark is an awesome spot that provides entertainment for youngsters during the long summer holidays and creates a resource that allows Dubai’s skateboarders to practice their sport 12 months a year.
Lessons for those who want tips on mastering the basics or perfecting their skills at Zoo Skatepark are available for AED195 an hour. Alternatively, UAE skaters can just turn up to use the facilities for a charge of AED30 per hour or AED75 a day.
