Step forward the Baker & Spice Farmers’ Market, running until April at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. At a time when many of Dubai’s organic farms have closed shop, this short-term market is a welcome breath of fresh air. Stands offering fresh produce line the promenade: freshly baked breads and cakes, together with fruit and vegetables grown locally across the UAE. And the chorus of clucking poultry is testament to the freshest free-range produce.
Come along and taste the best of the bakery with delicious and fruity homemade jams. At only 20 percent sugar they almost taste like compote. And while the fruit selection is limited, the organic vegetables are seasonal and sold directly by the farmers themselves. Best of all, fruit and vegetable prices are significantly cheaper than the competition.
