HAVE FUN AT THE ELECTRIC RUN 2016 IN DUBAI

The Electric Run is the World’s Premier Nighttime 5k run that is coming to Dubai on November 4th 2016 at Zabeel Park. A fun social event, it will offer the adrenaline of a 5k and the energy of a dance party.

This unique event is a global phenomenon open to the public and features light and sound throughout the course. Unlike any other race, participants are provided with their own glow pack so that they can dazzle and glow during the run.

Electric Run is coming for the second time to Dubai from London, Chicago, Los Angeles, Singapore, Sydney and New York. The first run took place in 2013 and since then over one million people have taken on the Electric Run challenge in different countries around the world.

The Electric Run is an amazing fusion of music and light, DJ’s and party at the end of the finish line. It is not a timed event and participants can stop anytime during the run to enjoy the music or take in the atmosphere.

The new RECHARGED venue at Zabeel Park, Dubai, will play host to the world’s most iconic 5k night run course, significantly upgraded from 2015 and laid out through the palm trees, lakeside views and extensive green surrounds. Electric Runners will make their way through nine themed Courselands, including two new Disco and EDM (Electronic Dance music) dance party zones, and Electric Avenue that is brand new to Dubai, and all of which have been upgraded and improved from 2015.

In another first for Dubai, ActiveLife Electric Run RECHARGED will debut the Electroband, an illuminating LED bracelet that syncs with various soundtracks of each Courseland and with the beats of other runners. The Electroband, which was recently seen in action on Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour, can also be permanently switched to motion-sensitive mode, adding a new dimension to the running experience.
