Dubai is becoming more cycle-friendly with new cycling paths and bike sharing stands dotted around the city.  If you don’t own a bike you can rent one from Byky (for more details click here),  Wolfi’s Bike* or The Cycle House** in Dubai.

Nad El Sheba Cycling Path

Known for its camel racing, Nad El Sheba is now a cycling track divided into 4km, 6km and 8km.  Available to cycle also at night, this lit up path has an amazing and uninterrupted view of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai. Those into running can also train at the 3km and 7 km jogging track there.
A family-friendly place to cycle, they also have showers and lockers available.

 Al Qudra Cycling Path

Situated deep in the desert this 86 km path is ideal for those who want to experience a scenic route. The entire brand new cycle path is fairly flat and completely surrounded by sand dunes. Located on the road that leads to the luxury resort Bab Al Shams, cyclists can always stop by there for refreshments once they are done.

Dubai Autodrome

A place that has been built to host car racing also opens its doors to cyclists on a weekly basis. Available for 3 hours on Wednesday evenings, the track allows children and adults to come enjoy cycling on their 2.5 km long circuit under the flood lights.

Al Barsha Park

A popular hangout for families, the Al Barsha park also has a 1500 m long cycling path for children and adults. Buzzing with activity it is a fun place to enjoy cycling with the toddlers. For more information and the location, click here. 

Jumeirah Cycling Path

If you prefer to bike by the beach the 14 km cycling/jogging track running from  Dubai Sailing Club to Umm Sequemm.

Dubai Canal

The Dubai Canal is a public waterfront destination that runs through Sheikh Zayed Road across Safa Park and cuts through Jumeirah.  it is a 3.2km extension that ranges 80 to 120m in width and is the ideal new spot to grab your bike and go cycling. For more information and the location click here.

Mushrif Park

Mushrif Park is one of the oldest parks in the country and is located on Khawaneej Road in Mirdiff.  It stretches across 1300 acres and offers a 5km track for cycling.  Cyclists can enjoy the 2 lane track that crosses through dunes.  It is open till 11 pm in the evening and has an entrance fee of AED 5.
