Cirque du Soleil just released “CirqueConnect”, an online digital hub allowing us to watch some of their past performances during COVID-19.
During COVID-19, Cirque du Soleil is releasing a 60-minute special performance every Friday.
The first special released on Friday 27th of March features awe-inspiring moments from three different shows they have created and toured with around the globe. This special includes scenes from their iconic shows KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities, ”O”, and LUZIA.
The second special was released online on Friday 3rd of April that you can watch below on YouTube. Their second special features acts from Amaluna, VOLTA and BAZZAR:
There are also more interesting resources available to browse on CirqueConnect, including tutorials on makeup techniques and physical exercises, a dive into Virtual Reality as well as entertainment for kids with songs used in their shows, fantasy, and magic with projections specially created for children.
During these tough days, the circus aims to offer people an escape from everyday life and says: “Now more than ever, we want to do our small part to spread the joy, even from afar, directly to the spaces where they are safe.”
