British expats will know the popular store Lakeland very well – in fact, their kitchens back in the UK were no doubt packed with the innovative and useful offerings. For those new to the brand, however, we have stumbled upon two Lakeland stores in Dubai – and we highly recommend a visit to find out what all the fuss is about.
The stores, based in Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Center, are a paradise to keen cooks and foodies. With a focus on top of the range kitchen accessories and gadgets, the items stocked are designed to save you time and money in the kitchen. It’s the kind of store that you can easily while away the hours exploring everything on offer.
We were tempted by a selection of glass jars to sterilise and store preserves, jams, chutney, homemade sauces, and baby food. They came with tag-style labels to customize and matching pot covers, which look great too. We also spotted bags that can be filled with fruit and vegetables and placed in the fridge, promising to slow down the ageing process and prevent bacteria forming, which keeps them fresh for several weeks!
Also on our shopping list were airtight and watertight jars, which are sold with a vacuum – perfect for prolonging the crispness and freshness of biscuits, cakes, cereals, nuts and spices for longer.
The choice of practical and original products is endless, so it is well worth heading to the store to truly appreciate what it has to offer.
