Careem – available online or as a downloadable app on your phone – has several benefits. Firstly, it can be booked online in 15 seconds by selecting your pick-up and drop-off locations (in advance or for now). Secondly, you can track the car in real-time to see how close the car is to your location – and when the car arrives, you will be sent an SMS. Finally, when you arrive at your destination, you can simply get out of the car and walk off, as your credit card will be automatically charged after the journey. No need to travel with cash!
We haven’t yet tried the service, but are reassured that drivers are rigorously interviewed on driving safely, communication skills, navigation knowledge and customer service. All cars are less than 4 years old.
