Starting from the 11th of March 2019 at 12 pm, we can visit Qasr Al Watan and their gardens housed in The Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi (online booking available).

Qasr Al Watan is an incredible, new and unique landmark located a short drive away in Abu Dhabi. It is now open to the public starting from the 11th of March 2019 at 12 pm. The opening of this palace to the public is offering a first-of-its-kind insight into the Arab heritage and the governing principles that shaped the history of the United Arab Emirates and its vision to the future.

What to visit At Qasr Al Watan

Guests can now book tickets (or buy them on site) to visit Qasr Al Watan building and its gardens or the gardens only. The visits are open to the public daily from 10 am to 8 pm.

Qasr Al Watan Library is hosting a vast collection of books focusing on the culture, development, and achievements of the United Arab Emirates.

Visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of Arabian craftsmanship as the architecture and interior design at Qasr Al Watan are paying a tribute to the region’s Arabian heritage and artistry.

At nighttime, visitors can enjoy Palace in Motion, a light and sound show projected onto the facades of the iconic building: a story told in three acts about the past, present, and the future vision of the nation.

 

Ticket Pricing

The Palace and Garden Tickets are priced at 60 AED per adult and 30 AED per junior aged 4 to 17 years old. This general admission ticket gives access to the Qasr Al Watan Tour, the Gardens, Visitor Centre and all zones, exhibitions and public spaces within the Palace and Gardens.

The Garden Ticket is priced at 25 AED per adult and 12 AED per junior (4 – 17 years old) and gives access to the Gardens and Visitor Centre only.

Visitors can additionally book for a standard guided tour priced at 30AED per person. It is an additional ticket that can also be purchased online. You just have to choose a date and time slot. Trips are accommodated by a guided tour with up to 20 visitors, start every 30 minutes and last 90 minutes. They are available both in Arabic or English.

There also is a Private Guided tour that can be booked in English or Arabic. This private tour (for one up to 20 visitors) is priced at 600AED.

The Dress Code

Ladies should always wear long sleeve shirts (no short sleeve or tank tops allowed) and long skirts or pants (no short skirts allowed). Gentlemen should always wear long pants (no shorts are allowed).

Where to park

Upon arrival, you will see the Visitor Centre car park that offers free of charge ample parking spaces.

Valet parking is also available at the Visitor Centre car park at a charge of AED 80. It works daily from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.

Different dining options on site

Qasr Al Watan features an array of dining options including gourmet sit-down restaurants, Dhiyafat Qasr Al Watan and Al Fowala, both found in the main Palace. Additionally, Maqha Al Maktaba is a quaint cafe situated within Qasr Al Watan Library. Legma, a grab and go outlet, is located in the visitor centre, Zayed Gate and the main Palace.
