Spending a weekend in Al Ain is always a good idea, as it offers so many different outdoor activities . The Al Ain Zoo, Wadi Adventure Park, Al Ain Oasis, The Green Mubbazarrah, Qasr Al Muwaiji are among the many active, cultural and heritage options to pick from and you’ll soon find out that one weekend is not enough to try it all.
Visiting Al Ain obviously also means you can explore Jebel Hafit mountain – the second highest peak in the UAE with 1,249meters (the highest peak is Jebel Al Jais located in RAS, with an elevation of 1,934m by the way).
In 2011, UNESCO recognized Jebel Hafit Desert Park as a component of the World Heritage Site of Al Ain, the United Arab Emirates’ first World Heritage Site. “Jebel Hafit Desert Park preserves this rich history and the area’s unique biodiversity. The park enables visitors to experience this dynamic landscape up close and to understand how it has changed over millions of years.”
A new spot to experience for an overnight stay at Jebel Hafit
If you are feeling a little adventurous and are looking for something different from the usual hotel stay, you should check out these brand new options, now available at Jebel Hafit Desert Park. We had a look and found them to be quite appealing:
THE BUBBLE TENT
Equipped with air conditioning and a terrace, this option looks quite cozy and offers a very unique view of the surrounding mountains. It includes a shower and a private bathroom.
Prices start at 700AED with bed and breakfast.
THE LUXURY DOME TENT
If you are looking for something more spacious and glamorous, you can opt for this luxury option that includes air conditioning, LED TV, a terrace with telescope and a fire pit with stone seating. Prices start at 900AED with bed and breakfast.
THE TRADITIONAL TENT
For those in a large group, the traditional tent is interesting as it fits up to four adults and prices start at 500AED with bed and breakfast.
CAMP SITE PLOT TO RENT (Small, medium or large options)
Lastly, if you want something more casual and rooted, this option is priced between 100 and 150AED depending on the plot size you rent.
Just bring your own tents and material and you are all set, with public toilets nearby, camping toolbox and fire pit with stone seating available.
