Feeling social this weekend?  Our Pinterest party boards make us the “ideal” hosts, but in reality things are different. As hard as we try to be the perfect hostess, with DIY inspired home decoration and table settings, it never quite looks the same.
Our current obsession has been those humble Mason Jars, yes those bottles universally used to preserve jams or store spices in. We too had never given them much attention, but that was before we saw them make recurring appearances at parties and in magazines globally!
Mason Jars are the fun and trendy way to serve drinks, fill them up with your favourite lemonade or something more exotic. Sturdy and strong, they give a cool hipster touch and definitely give the guests something to talk about. Oh and did we mention till the next party you can use them as a flower vase, candle holder or even serve food in.

KARKADE 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (about 15 grams) 1 cinnamon stick 4 cups cold waterLime wedges (optional, for serving) Place the hibiscus and cinnamon stick in a pot of boiling water. Keep stirring ocasionaly. Once boiled, drain the petals and refrigerate overnight (8 to 12 hours). Serve over ice with a squeeze of lime, if desired. Store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
