It is finally the weather to be outdoors! Â That is why we have already bookmarked our diaries for the 16th and 17th of December for the Area 01 event in Al Serkal. Â Open to the public this is a community event that will be featuring plenty of food, music and shopping.
Area 01 is all about ‘where the good times are free!’  There will be more than 35 musicians and bands; exciting new brands with the coolest sustainable gifts; and the popular Good Vibes Market. It is one entire weekend to relax and enjoy the very best of music, market and food that Dubai has to offer.
Area 01 combines the very best of the popular Urban Market with the chilled out acoustic and electric sounds of Music on the Avenue. Held across Alserkal Avenue, the event brings hidden gems from Dubai’s creative community together, just in time for one final community celebration before the holiday season. The emphasis is on homegrown talent and businesses – from yoga in the morning, to musicians, craftsmen, designers, artisans and culinary experiences, it’s a weekend for everyone.
More than 50 hand-picked vendors will come together in the streets of Alserkal Avenue just in time for the holidays, with items that are truly unique. Everyone’s favourite – Good Vibes Market – is back with some of the best food concepts in town – there will be food trucks and stands across the Avenue and in The Yard. To add that extra flavor to the day, musicians and acts that will be at Area 01 from 3pm till closing on both days. Expect an eclectic soundtrack to the weekend; The Flip Side is launching in the Avenue with some amazing activations. In addition, Satwa 3000, Bedouin Records, The Fridge, and Freshly Ground Sounds are back, and The Junction are doing South Asian music.
