Back in the day, finding a hotel in Dubai that didn’t cost a fortune was quite difficult but since 2017, there has been a dramatic change. There seems to be a whole new range of trendy and affordable new hotels in Dubai in prime locations that are ideal for when friends and family are asking for suggestions for places to stay in Dubai.

In case you haven’t yet come across these new options, we have decided to help you out with our personal highlights:

ZABEEL HOUSE DUBAI

Zabeel House is an eclectic collection of hotels born in Dubai. High on design and low on complexity, for travellers that want a link to the most interesting neighbourhoods in Dubai and other vibrant cities in the world.
How they describe themselves: Zabeel House provides the perfect stay for anyone who is travelling, working, wandering, or just about anything else in between. Experience the neighbourhood as if you lived there.

At the moment, there are three locations available in Dubai.

• MINI AL SEEF
  Located in Dubai Creek, Zabeel House MINI is playful, pocket-friendly and situated right in the heart of the hustle and bustle; this location is just perfect for eager explorers.
• AL SEEF

ROVE HOTELS

How they advertise themselves: Rove Hotels are the perfect jumping-off point for work, play and urban exploration.
We were among the first guests to visit the first ROVE hotel that opened its doors mid-2016 in Dubai downtown, located between DIFC and Dubai Mall (our review here).

 

Since then, the ROVE hotel group has opened a couple of new convenient options displayed at the main touristic areas of Dubai.

• Rove Downtown:
  Best urban explorations at the edge of exhilarating Downtown Dubai
• Rove Dubai Marina:
  Dubai’s stylish marina-front address, and walking distance to one of the city’s most popular beaches.
• Rove Trade Centre:
  One roundabout from Dubai World Trade Centre, home to some of the city’s largest exhibitions.
• Rove City Centre:
  minutes from Dubai International Airport and Dubai Creek, in the heart of Deira, Old Dubai.
• Rove Dubai Healthcare City:
  Situated adjacent to Dubai healthcare city, in close proximity to Dubai Airport.
• Rove City Centre:
  Minutes from Dubai International Airport and Dubai Creek, in the heart of Deira, Old Dubai.

We really like the casual but cozy and colorful vibe of this hotel chain.

We also discovered they opened a new location in between Dubai and Abu Dhabi close to the Dubai Parks and Resorts, called Rove At The Park.

Two new locations are set to open soon:

– Rove La Mer (Jumeirah 1): in the heart of Dubai’s newest beachfront destination.

– Rove Dubai Seyahi: Steps away from the beach, Dubai Marina and the iconic Palm Jumeirah.

 

DUSIT D2 KENZ

This hotel is conveniently located in Al Barsha, which makes it quite central whether you plan to head to Dubai Mall, La Mer, Jumeirah Beach or Dubai Marina.
Room rates are affordable and what we really enjoy about this hotel is having breakfast at OSTRO located on the ground floor. The white and Mediterranean decor gives you the feeling you are somewhere in Europe by the Mediterranean sea and their breakfast buffet options reflect the cuisine of this region.
