The Café part of the Organic Foods and Café is a surprising element within the store that is worth checking out. The décor is no-fuss and unpretentious-keeping in line with the laid-back tone and ethical theme.
The focus here is solely on serving wholesome dishes and their traceability to the source. The menu itself is simple and short but it was the set menu for the summer (July and August) that excited us on this visit.
Lunch service is busy but even then we weren’t kept waiting long for our meal. We began with a big bowl of house salad that was a mix of greens, crunchy veggies and olives topped with a simple dressing. In the mains we picked the chia crusted salmon with a side of wasabi tamari dressing-perfectly cooked, the chia seeds gave the fish a nice crunch and the bed of lentil, kale and beetroot made for a filling and wholesome main course. We ended the meal with a slice of warm apple pie that really hit the spot.
Overall the meal was tasty and flavorsome-an element that healthy, organic eateries often miss. The approach to combining superfoods with other ingredients is innovative and keeps healthy food the opposite from boring.

The summer set lunch menu is priced starting at 60 AED and will be available during July and August.
Organic Foods and Café has seeven shops in Dubai—Sheikh Zayed Road, Greens, Golden Mile, Mirdif, and Galleria Mall Al Barsha, Cityland—as well as a store in Nation Towers, Abu Dhabi. Their cafés are located at their SZR, Greens, Golden Mile and Cityland locations. Their Cityland location features a children’s play area.
